Animation Sensations "News"

10/13/04 - New Fantasia Art, Rare Vintage Disney Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Drawings! Great news for those who collect animation art from the ground breaking 1941 Disney classic, Fantasia. Chernabog, the nocturnal demon who holds power over restless souls in Fantasia's "Night on Bald Mountain" scene, is now available for sale at Animation Sensations. We just acquired a fantastic selection of six original Chernabog production drawings with their matching effects drawings. We're selling each pair for the fantastic price of $2900. Also new to our collection are rare storyboards of Donald Duck from the hilarious 1953 animated short, Canvas Back Duck. If your a collector of Mickey Mouse, Goofy or Donald Duck animation, you should take a look at our new collection of original vintage animation drawings from the 1930's. Magician Mickey (1937), Mickey's Service Station (1935), and Dognapppers (1934), are just a few Disney films from which we have original drawings.

09/01/04 - New Grinch, Disney and Warner Brothers Animation in Stock! We recently acquired a hundred or so original signed Chuck Jones animation cels and drawings from the famous 1966 animation film production of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Each original work is remarkably preserved. The color and line quality bespeak Jones' technical mastery and brilliant imagination. We are also pleased to announce an addition of priceless Disney animation artwork to our inventory, from film classics such as Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Sleeping Beauty. We also received in early August a number of vintage Warner Brothers animation drawings, cels, layouts and production backgrounds. What's Opera Doc?, Robinhood Daffy, the original production background from Marvin Martian and One Froggy Evening, are just a few of the fantastic new additions to our growing inventory of quality animation art.

05/01/04 - Newly Arrived Vintage Disney Animation Art. We have currently acquired a collection of original vintage Disney production cels on production backgrounds. Dumbo production cel on a production background signed Walt Disney on the mat, Queen of Hearts on production background from Alice in Wonderland, Jiminy Cricket on a Courvoisier background from Pinocchio, Mickey Mouse and Broom from Fantasia on a Courvoiser background and Jessica Rabbit with Benny the Cab from the Who Framed Roger Rabbit are just a few of our recently acquired animation artworks for sale currently on exhibition at Animation Sensations.

04/16/2004 - New Web Site Split! Animation Sensations, Animation Art Gallery and our parent company, the Georgetown Frame Shoppe, Modern & Contemporary Prints Art Gallery have two different web sites now to make viewing and purchasing our inventory easier for you. We are still located at 2902 1/2 M Street, NW directly across from the Wachovia Bank on the corner of M Street, NW and 29th Street, NW and next door to Graphix Print Shop. Just look for our green awning and come on down the hall into our beautiful spacious two level full service art gallery. Both companies are under the same roof. The only thing that we have changed is the URL for Animation Sensations. You can still access the animation art through the Georgetown Frame Shoppe web site and vice versa. If you want to check out Modern & Contemporary Art Prints, Vintage Posters, Andy Warhol prints, Pablo Picasso etchings, or view more quality custom conservation framing information, click on the link.

04/01/2004 - Spring has arrived. Come on in and check out our new signed Andy Warhol prints from "The Cowboys and Indians" portfolio published in 1986. These screenprints have been sold out for many years and are from the edition of 250 signed and numbered in pencil by Andy Warhol. Also, recently arrived an original signed Pablo Picasso Linocut published by Vallauris in 1957. This is quite large and pretty from the small edition of 198. We recently framed Pablo Picasso's only 24 color lithograph which he made in 1961 called Le Picador II published by Sabartes and it looks incredible. It is very affordable at $1800 framed with a hand wrapped silk mat, hand rubbed brown and gold frame with the matching inner fillet frame and conservation UV protection picture glass.

02/05/2004 - Our new green awning is finally up!! For all our loyal customers who had troubles finding us after we moved last year, we appreciate you searching us out. We are now fully settled in and you can see our green and gold awning on the corner of M street and 29th street directly across from the Wachovia Bank. Don't be dissuaded to enter the gallery on account of our long entry hallway! The walkway is lined with great works of art, and opens up into our beautiful main gallery space and second floor framing studio.

01/17/2004 - Brrrr! We continue to add new inventory to our existing inventory. Check out Joan Miro Artwork, Andy Warhol Artwork, Pablo Picasso Artwork, Marc Chagall Artwork, Walt Disney Animation Artwork, and the Roy Liechtenstein Artwork sections for new lithographs, Linocuts, woodcuts, and etchings.
