At Animation Sensations, an animation art gallery since 1989, you will find an extensive collection of original vintage Walt Disney animation production cels, including production drawings, production backgrounds, and original vintage production cels. Many production cels are accompanied by production backgrounds, Courvoisier backgrounds, or color copy backgrounds. Please check with us if you are interested in buying a key master set up. If you can't find a specific character in a vintage production cel and a vintage production drawing, feel free to look at the Disney Limited Edition cels section from the classic animated feature film Fantasia. Included in our animation collection is a beautiful original production cel from Fantasia's Dance of the Hours sequence, in which a variety of animals give a hilarious performance dancing to Amilcare Ponchielli's ballet. This lovely dancing elephant is on a Courvoisier background. Also on Courvoisier backgrounds are three original vintage production cels from Fantasia's The Pastoral Symphony. Two feature the cute Baby Black Pegasus, flying through the clouds in one cel and perched in his nest in the second. The third sequence is a pair of cels depicting the curious Baby Blue Unicorn and impish Young Faun blowing his horn. Do you have original animation art to sell? Please call or email for more information about our consignment and purchase options.
Fantasia, Walt Disney, 1940 Walt Disney’s third feature-length film, Fantasia, was originally planned as a short featuring Mickey Mouse as the sorcerer’s apprentice. It was a marriage of animation without dialog set to Paul Dukas’s classical orchestral piece The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Walt Disney partnered with legendary conductor Leopold Stokowski and the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra to record the music.
