Walt Disney's animated featurette Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore was first released in theaters in 1983 along with the re-issue of The Sword in The Stone. This darling animated short film is based on chapters from A. A. Milne's beloved books Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. In Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore, Eeyore's mood is gloomier than usual because his friends at Pooh Corner forgot his birthday. Fortunately, the pooh-bear and friends discover their memory lapse and put together a spirit-lifting birthday party just in time. Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore was also included on the DVD release of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. |
