Walt Disney has produced a number of great animation feature films and
shorts since it began in 1928 with the advent of Steamboat Willie,
the world's first synchronized sound cartoon. Among the most memorable
of Disney's early shorts is "The Brave Little Tailor",
released in 1938. In this classic tale, Mickey Mouse plays a tailor
who unwittingly admits to killing "seven flies with one blow."
The king, over hearing Mickey, thinks that he is bragging about
killing seven giants with a single blow. The king then orders Mickey
to kill a giant who has been terrorizing the country side. The
prize for doing so is the hand of Princess Minnie in marriage.
Pictured above is a beautiful hand painted original production cel
from "The Brave Little Tailor". Accompanying this is an
original Courvoisier Background hand painted by a collective of Disney
artists and sold through the Courvoisier Galleries in San Francisco, Ca. Animation Sensations
is currently selling this rare work of art for $16,000 framed. The
production cel and background are double matted with a cream linen matte
and embellished with a gold fillet.
Fantasia,
released by Walt Disney in the United States in 1940, was the first
Technicolor feature animation film ever created. The film, approximately
two hours in length, is an anthology of short animated sequences
accompanied by well known works of classical music. The seventh
short, titled "Night on Bald Mountain" (after the music
of Moussorgsky) is considered to be the films technical tour-de-force.
Masterminded by the Danish artist Kay Nielson, this last number
in Fantasia is a dramatically terrifying celebration of evil during
the night of the Witches' Sabbath. As night falls at the foot of
Bald Mountain, the lord of evil and death, the Black God Chernobog,
(named after the Slavic god of evil), appears on the top of the
jagged peak. What ensues is a salute to the evil God and a celebration
of evil. Ghouls and spirits dance in the palm of Chernabog and whip
around Bald Mountain in surreal patterns. Pictured above is an
original drawing of Chernabog, frame 132, from the 1940 production
of Fantasia. This work of Disney animation art is extremely difficult
to come by. An incredible image, it represents Chernabog as the
all powerful demon he plays. Animation Sensations is currently
selling this drawing for $2,900. All are welcome to view this drawing
and more, on our "Disney Drawings" section of our website.
Animation Sensations also specializes in Custom
Framing. We have a wide variety of quality mouldings, fillets,

Animation Sensations has recently acquired a number of valuable
vintage animation storyboards and drawings. Among these are storyboards
from the 1953 Walt Disney Animation short, "Canvas Back Duck".
In this hilarious comedy, Donald Duck is lured into the boxing ring
with Peg Leg Pete after becoming over confident from winning a few
simple circus games. We're selling these one of a kind storyboards
individually for $450, or the set of six for $1900.

"Duck Dodgers in the 24-1/2 Century" is classic amongst
Warner Brothers' shorts. Directed by Chuck Jones and featuring one
of his own character creations, Marvin The Martian, Duck Dodger
was released in 1953. The Plot revolves around Duck Dodgers (Daffy
Duck) a hapless soul who was accidentally frozen inside a spacecraft
in the 21st century and thawed out 351 years later. Through his
scheming and lies, Daffy Duck has convinced the Earth's Defensive Protectorate
that he is a hero from the 21st century and has been given a starship
and crew - an adoring and eager young Space Cadet (Porky Pig). Together
they battle Earth's major foe, Mars, and its Martian Commander X-2.

of art for $10,000 framed.
