Animation
Sensations has been an Animation
Art Gallery since 1989. We specialize in original one of a kind
vintage Disney and Warner Brothers animation artwork from feature
films and shorts such as Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp,
Fantasia, Snow White, Bambi, Dumbo, 101 Dalmations, Alice in Wonderland,
Sleeping Beauty, Jungle Book, Little Mermaid, and Robin Hood. We
buy, sell, and accept consignment of limited editions, sericels,
lithographs, etchings, giclees and TV animation production cels.
Although we carry a fairly large selection of animation art from
various production studios like Warner Brothers, Hanna Barbera,
Fox and Cartoon Network, our expertise is in Disney shorts and original
vintage feature film animation art production cels, drawings, storyboards,
layout drawings and original production backgrounds. We have a large
collection to choose from, and we are always looking to find more
original quality animation art for both the serious and casual collector.
Animation Sensations' website is not only dedicated to displaying high quality animation art, but providing valuable information on the artwork itself and the studios that produced it. For Artwork Information, look to the botttom of our 'Other Studios' web page - and enjoy!
This August, Animation Sensations acquired close to seventy five
original Grinch animation art production cels, layouts, drawings
and production backgrounds, much of which have been signed by lead
animator and producer, Chuck Jones. All are in excellent condition,
preserved with quality archival framing. The half-hour animated
film special, Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, first aired
on Sunday, December 18, 1966. On that day, it was met with glowing
reviews from newspapers across the country, and has since become
a classic not only for its imaginative story line, but also for
the fantastically imaginative and technically superb drawings of
famous artist and animator Chuck Jones.
Animation Sensations is also pleased to announce that it has recently
acquired a valuable selection of original vintage Disney and Warner
Brothers animation production cels, drawings, layouts and production
backgrounds.
Most of our new Warner Brothers drawings and cels
are signed by the legendary animation artist Chuck Jones.
His signature authenticates these works, and adds significant value
to each original drawing and cel. These are delightful one of kind
collectors' items that capture the spirit of those early classic
Looney Toons cartoons. Among the many in our collection, we would to mention
several drawings and cels from What's Opera, Doc?, the 1957 classic
short directed by Chuck Jones. In this hilarious parody of Wagner's
"Ring" Cycle, Elmer Fudd plays the hunter as the demigod Siegfried,
and Bugs Bunny in drag and blond wig plays the role of Valkyrie
Brunhilde while sitting atop an obese horse. Also in our posession are a number
of works from the 1953 cartoon, Bully for Bugs. In this memorable
short, Bugs Bunny, while looking for a carrot festival, tunnels
accidentally into the middle of an arena where a bullfight is taking
place. Bugs soon becomes involved in the fight after the bulls breath
steams up his tail. He declares in response, "Of course, you realize
this means war." Mentioned here are just a few from our extensive
collection of classic cartoon moments captured in graphite and paint.
Animation Sensations would also like to draw your attention to
our new original vintage Disney animation cels and drawings. Among
these are the Blue Fairy, Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket and Figaro from
the 1941 animation art film, Pinocchio, several cels of the Queen
and the Witch from the 1937 animation art film Snow White and the
Seven Dwarfs. We also carry a substantial selection of animation
art from more modern Disney film classics like Lady and the Tramp
(1955), Peter Pan (1953), Sleeping Beauty (1959) and the Little
Mermaid (1989). All of our newly acquired Disney cels, production
drawings and production backgrounds, are in excellent condition,
having been carefully preserved in archival frames. The color and
line quality of each piece is such that you will be drawn to remember
those unique moments for which that image was created.
